Das ist ein bunter Haufen hochtalentierter Musiker aus Russland, den USA, Kanada und der Lüneburger Heide, die lieben, was sie tun, und sich selbst dabei nicht zu ernst nehmen. Ihre Country- und Rootsmusik, Lebendigkeit und Spielfreude animiert noch den lethargischsten Zuhörer zu euphorischen Beifallsbekundungen. Genau das Richtige gegen einsetzende Winterdepressionen!

Serving up a mishmash of styles ranging from western swing and country to R&B to blues, pre war jazz and supper club crooners, the Comedian Pharmacists have been playing in just about every venue in Berlin, and in just about every musical style since 1997. Starting out as a country band, they played that style until it suddenly became popular.

Disgruntled with being a “popular” band, they switched to western swing. That went just fine for a good few years, until that genre, too, became popular around town.

Since then they have put together a new band that plays pre-war jazz, and are hoping that that will never make it big in Berlin.

In the last few years they have also put together a whole different project, Lord Mouse and the Kalypso Katz, figuring that calypso will certainly never catch on in the city of techno.
