About Love - paintings by Sanna Haimila

I consider drawing and painting to be a thinking process, and I work intuitively. When I begin, I do not necessarily know what and why, but I trust the feeling and the process. The starting point may be a small hint of “something hair-like”, sometimes I use a reference picture. My works are like chains of thoughts in a crystallised form, ready to expand into new thoughts through the viewer's interpretation.
This exhibition is all about love, shame and the beauty of imperfection.

Sanna Haimila is a Finland-based painter and illustrator. In her works, she deals with universal themes of life, such as motherhood, relationships, grief and love, on the basis of her own experience. Haimila is a member of the Finnish Painters' Union and the Artists' Association of Lapland, and her works include collections, such as Public Art Agency Sweden, the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation, the Collection of the Finnish State Art Commission and the Aine Art Museum.

Über die Liebe -Gemälde (Sanna Haimila)
Für mich ist das Zeichnen und Malen ein Denkprozess und ich arbeite intuitiv. Wenn ich anfange, weiß ich nicht immer was und wieso, aber ich vertraue einfach dem Gefühl und dem Prozess. Der Anfangspunkt könnte ein kleines Anzeichen von “etwas haar-gleichem” sein, manchmal verwende ich Referenzbilder. Meine Werke sind wie Gedankengänge in kristallisierter Form, bereit sich durch die Interpretation des Betrachters in andere Gedanken auszubreiten.
Diese Ausstellung dreht sich um Liebe, Scham und die Schönheit der Unvollkommenheit.
Ich bedanke mich bei der Finnischen Kulturstiftung und dem Center für Kunstförderung in Finnland für die Unterstützung meiner Ausstellung!
Sanna Haimila ist eine Malerin und Illustratorin aus Finnland. In ihren Werken beschäftigt sie sich, basierend auf eigenen Erfahrungen, mit allgemeinen Themen des Lebens, wie Mutterschaft, Trauer und Liebe. Haimila ist ein Mitglied des Finnischen Malerbundes und der Künstlervereinigung von Lapland. Ihre Werke enthalten Sammlungen in der Agentur für öffentliche Kunst in Schweden, der Jenny-und-Antti-Wihuri-Stiftung, der Sammlung der Stattlichen Kunstkommission von Finnland und dem Aine-Kunstmuseum.
