 rse is a curious phenomenon. From the level of single molecules to large s
 cale social systems\, self-organization allows for the dynamic interaction
  of functional constructs towards a predictable outcome\, in a game where 
 the motivations arise from singular insufficiency and the struggle to surv
 ive in a dangerous environment. Here we will look at some natural examples
  of patterning\, form\, and self-organization in the molecular world\, cel
 lular world\, and in the realm of animal and human behavior. Finally\, we 
 will reflect on how this organization came about mechanistically\, and how
  we might better understand it\, and our relationship with it.Joel Wellbou

 rse | In this talk a newly emerging Weltverhältnis\, the metaphysical paradi
 gm of generativity\, will be sketched out through a reconstruction of the 
 history of mind\, moving from the first signs of animal intelligence and t
 he appearance of human sentience up to the threshold of posthuman cognitiv
 e agencies. This evolutionary and civilizational trajectory of the develop
 ment of mind shows that mind is a realization of generative processes deep
 ly embedded in the universe itself\, and while these processes of generati
 vity have reached a certain level of refinement in the human mind\, they a
 re not necessarily bound to the human organism as their sole medium.Davor 
 Löffler worked internationally in various research institutions\, such as the
  ?Mind Machine Project? at MIT and the 'Interacting Minds Center'\, Aarhus
 . Currently he teaches at the interdisciplinary research platform ?The New
  Center for Research and Practice?. His forthcoming book\, Generative Real

  and Animals | Contemporary art considers the artist and the audience as c
 onstitutional part of a creative act. Artworks are no longer mere objects\
 , but rather processes\, driven by the agency of things\, humans and creat
 ures. Interactivity and mutual interplay have become a pivotal element of 
 current artistic practices.The planning of interactive settings and interf
 aces in art ? other than in science projects or in interface design ? does
  not follow a predefined aim or target. Art requires open minded experimen
 ts seeking for novel and authentic experiences ? for both: the artist and 
 the audience. Recent bioartistic artworks and experiments seek to explore 
 the conditions of the cohabitation of animals\, plants\, and humans in a c
 ommon environment. With her artworks Ursula Damm follow such a systemic ap
 proach\, using biosemiotic feedback circles and cybernetic models. As an a
