 \, some of the works reference television shows that I watch. The conversa
 tion between my visual language and the 'returned image' in all of these w
 orks describe the exchange between a strange world and a fragility that I 
 find exciting and humane.'Bio:Jonah Criswell was born in Springfield Misso
 uri and raised in Pensacola Florida. He possesses an MFA from Pennsylvania
  State University and a BFA from Kansas City Art Institute. His drawings a
 nd paintings are often concerned with the romantic\, mystic and unknown. H
 is work has been exhibited in Kansas City\, New York\, and Berlin. He curr
 ently teaches in the Painting department at the Kansas City Art Institute.
