 sch? by Alan Butler is a film which was created using the virtual world in
 side the video game ?Grand Theft Auto 5?. It follows a charmless\, suit-we
 aring protagonist from a petrol station\, as he drives an absurd designer 
 car to a beach. Upon arrival at the sea\, the character boards a jet-ski a
 nd proceeds to quickly travel away from land.The narrative of the film and
  fate of the protagonist is entirely controlled through the limitations of
  the virtual world within the game. A particular condition of the game dic
 tates that if one travels too far land\, the boat or jet-ski will run out 
 of petrol and sink. The land being too far away\, means the man is strande
 d and falls prey to the sea?s predators.The boundaries of ?Grand Theft Aut
 o 5? dominate the possibilities of in-video game film-making in an almost 
 Truman Show manner. The limits of this virtual ocean dictate how much spac
 e can be travelled\, and the duration of the video. Much like our own worl
 d\, one must succumb to the laws of nature in this computer generated real
 ity. While games usually imply hyperreal or hyperbolic possibilities\, thi
 s particular game adheres somewhat to realism\, whereby nature is the mast
 er of man.The video 'entro(SCO)py? by Marie-France Giraudon focuses on som
 e phenomena occurring upstream of the rise of sea level\, in an experiment
 al approach.Beyond the power of Human and Nature\, their vulnerability is 
 hidden. 'entro(SCO)py? presents a video-experience in the depths of a glac
 ier affected by global warming. In the manner of an endoscopic camera prob
 ing the human organs\, the body-camera of the performer reveals the metamo
 rphosis of this territory. Implicitly\, the viewer is invited to question 
 the ecological fate of this natural environment.To testify the reality on 
 the ground while suggesting the disappearance of the glacier\, the work cr
 eates a dialogue between two approaches and confronts two space-times. The
  video present both a challenging physical experience and a reconstructed 
 imaginary experience. It suggests that the glacier caves which are explore
 d are a sign of an irreversible transformation of this environment. While 
 the ice becomes water\, the glacier becomes hollow and retracts\, and melt
  water joins the sea. The experience ends in the sounds and the drabness o
 f a port area. Its unexpected culmination expands the scope of this metaph
 orical journey\, offering the viewer the possibility to reinterpret the wo
 rk from an ecological point of vue.?Haifisch? von Alan Butler ist ein Film
 \, aus der virtuellen Welt des Videospiels Grand Theft Auto 5. Er folgt ei
 nem reizlosen\, Anzug-tragenden Protagonist von einer Tankstelle\, der ein
  absurdes Designer Auto zum Strand fährt. Nach der Ankunft am Meer\, kauft d
 er Charakter einen Jet-Ski und reist zu schnell weg vom Land.Die Erzählung d
 es Films und das Schicksal des Protagonisten wird nur von der virtuellen W
 elt im Spiel begrenzt. Eine besondere Situation des Spiels schreibt vor\, 
 dass\, wenn man sich weit weg vom Land entfernt\, dem Boot oder Jet-Ski da
 s Benzin ausgehen und sie sinken. Der Mann wird angeschwemmt und verfällt de
 n Raubtieren des Meeres.Die Grenzen des ?Grand Theft Auto 5? dominieren di
 e Möglichkeiten der in-Videospielfilmproduktion in einer Weise wie der Truman
 show. Die Grenzen dieses virtuellen Ozeans bestimmen\, wie viel Platz bere
 ist werden kann und die Dauer des Videos. Ähnlich wie in unserer realen Wel
 t\, muss man die Gesetzen der Natur in diesem Computer beachten. Während Spi
 ele meist hyperreale oder hyperbolische Möglichkeiten eröffnen\, hält sich diese b
 esondere Spiel an den Realismus\, wobei die Natur der Meister des Menschen
  ist.Das Video 'entro(SCO)py? von Marie-France Giraudon konzentriert sich 
 in einem experimentellen Ansatz auf einige Phänomene die bei dem Anstieg des
  Meeresspiegels auftreten. Hinter der Macht der Menschen und der Natur ist
  ihre Anfälligkeit versteckt. 'entro(SCO)py' präsentiert ein Video-Erlebnis in
  den Tiefen eines Gletschers der von der globalen Erwärmung betroffen ist in
  der Art einer endoskopischen Kamera. Die Körper-Kamera des Künstlers sondiert wie
  sonst menschliche Organe die Metamorphose dieses Gebietes. Implizit wird 
 der Betrachter eingeladen\, das ökologische Schicksal dieser natürlichen Umgebung 
 zu hinterfragen. Um die Realität auf dem Boden bezeugen\, während der Gletsche
 r verschwindet\, schafft die Arbeit einen Dialog zwischen zwei Ansätzen und 
 konfrontiert mit zwei Raumzeiten. Das Video präsentiert sowohl eine herausfo
 rdernde körperliche Erfahrung\, als auch eine rekonstruierte imaginäre Erfahrun
 g. Es schlägt vor\, die Gletscherhöhlen\, die ein Zeichen für eine unumkehrbare Umwa
 ndlung dieser Umgebung sind\, zu erforschen. Während das Eis zu Wasser wird\
 , wird der Gletscher hohl und zieht sich zurück und Schmelzwasser verbindet mit
  dem Meer. Die Erfahrung endet in den Klängen und der Tristesse eines Hafeng
 ebiets. Sein unerwarteter Höhepunkt erweitert den Blick dieser metaphorische 
 Reise und bietet dem Betrachter die Möglichkeit\, die Arbeit aus ökologischer Si
