 by fictional artist Alana Olsen\, as part of their expanding collaborative
  multimodal installation 'There's No Place Like Time: A Novel You Walk Thr
 ough' (shown at MOMENTUM last year). Set in the American desert\, 'Your Wo
 rds Are Only Guesses' investigates the toxic sublime using visual\, textua
 l\, and sonic erasure as a metaphor for ecological dissolution. Lance Olse
 n wants to read from his novel-in-progress\, 'My Red Heaven\,' about Berli
 n in 1927 and the rise of a deadly populism at the heart of a thriving cen
 ter for the artists\, writers\, and intellectuals. All fences seem down\, 
 all possibilities open\, and the future unimaginable. The novel incorporat
 es photographs of lost spaces around Berlin by Andi Olsen and Michael Kroe
