 eguarding and developing language is a fundamental (collective) right of m
 inorities. Thus\, it is essential to establish and manage institutional an
 d educational frameworks. These can play a decisive role in the choice of 
 curriculum and language of instruction as well as represent minoritarian l
 eadership that allows to curate areas of community\, education\, culture\,
  religion\, social affairs and dissemination of information. All this can 
 only be successful through a socio-political change that completely re-eva
 luates the classical philosophical matrix of the nation-state on the one h
 and\, that questions the intimate relationship between modernity and domin
 ant linguistic groups by politically activating the linguistic community o
 f minoritarian culture and criticism makers on the other. Language theoris
 t James Tollefson explicates that structures of dominant cultures can be c
 hanged through linguistic performances of minoritarian communities. (Tolle
 fson 1991:202). Education is not a space of neutral and autonomous\, objec
 tive knowldedge\; on the contrary\, it has to be seen as one of the main p
 sycho-social sites for the struggle to break down socio-cultural inequalit
 ies\, an iconic arena for transformative politics.The present exhibition i
 s an investigation into aspects of Roma identity and their complex entangl
 ement with language and different systems of knowledge production. While s
 ome notions\, expressions and definitions only exist in\, and are thus uni
 que to\, the Romani language\, others are in stark contrast to the meaning
  commonly assigned to those words by majoritarian culture. In a weave of t
 wo different artistic vocabularies by Marina Rosselle (FR) and Natali Tome
 nko (UKR) inspire an in-depth examination of how language and meaning prod
 uction play into the world-building strategies of minoritarian cultural pr
