 illkommen!?Die Werke in der Galerie Pleiku wurden von dem Motiv eines Mens
 chen im Wald abgeleitet. Wie ein Wahn zum Pilzsammeln auch eine Verbindung
  zu dem Ursprung\, den Wurzeln und dadurch den Grundlagen des Menschen dar
 stellen kann.Die Skulptur-Installation 'Kuin sieniä sateella' (übersetzt: Wie Pil
 ze im Regen) wird von dem Pilzwahn inspiriert\; das Suchen im Wald und die
  Verrücktheit\, die einen Menschen in der Erntezeit überkommt. Sie thematisiert mens
 chliche visuelle Erfahrungen\; Gestalten\, die die Landschaft ausfüllen und wor
 auf ein Mensch achtet\, wenn er im Wald im Pilzwahn ist. Welche Gestalten 
 werden wiederholt? Was ist essentiell? Die Skulpturen der Installation geb
 en diese Formen in Holz und Metall wieder\, genauso wie die Gemälde. Die and
 eren Werke in der Ausstellung führen dieses Motiv durch die Bewahrung und Gener
 ationsverbindung fort.Der Vorgang\, durch den ich physisch arbeite\, erinn
 ert mich an meine Wurzeln\, mein Erbe und die Grundlagen der Menschheit. M
 eine bisherige künstlerische und wissenschaftliche Forschung stand in Verbindun
 g mit der Beziehung zwischen der Umwelt und dem Individuum.'Veera Komulain
 en (geb. 1985 in Orimattila) lebt und arbeitet in Radstadt\, Österreich und
  gelegentlich in Finnland. Sie hat einen Master of Arts-Abschluss von der 
 Universität Lappland-Finnland und einen Master of Design von der Raffles-Des
 ign-Akademie in Singapur. Sie schafft Skulpturen aus Holz\, Metallen und B
 eton und setzt in ihren Werken Farben und Ölpastellkreide ein.***'The works
  presented in Gallery Pleiku are derived from a theme of a human in the fo
 rest. How a craze for collecting mushrooms can also create a connection to
  man's origin\, roots\, and thus to the basics.The sculpture installation 
 'Kuin sieniä sateella'\, (trans. Like mushrooms in the rain) is inspired by 
 the mushroom craze\; rummaging in the forest and the insanity that takes o
 ver a person during the harvest season. It deals with human visual experie
 nces\, shapes that fill the landscape\, and what a person pays attention t
 o when he is in the forest in the grip of mushroom madness. What shapes ar
 e repeated? What is essential? The sculptures of the installation repeat t
 hese forms in wood and metal\, as well as in the paintings. The other work
 s in the exhibition continue this theme through preservation and generatio
 nal connection.Also\, the process\, through which I physically work\, take
 s me to my roots\, heritage\, and the basics of humanity. My previous arti
 stic and scientific research have been connected to the relationship betwe
 en the environment and the individual.'Veera Komulainen (b. 1985 Orimattil
 a) lives and works in Radstad\, Austria\, and occasionally in Finland. She
  graduated with a Master of Arts from the University of Lapland Finland an
