Auf dem Weg in die Tiefen der menschlichen Psyche präsentiere n drei aufstrebende Künstlerinnen ihre transformativen Visionen zu Fragen von I dentität und Sehnsucht\, Zugehörigkeit und Entwurzelung\, während sie den wandeln den Begriff des Menschseins in einer immer komplexeren\, unerkennbaren Rea lität umreißen.Hug Me Hard spielt mit der Spannung und Ambivalenz der Welt\, die uns heute umgibt. Durch sich überschneidende Medien und Materialien ? von g roßformatigen Zeichnungen und taktilen Skulpturen bis hin zu Klangobjekt\, Fotografie und Videoarbeiten ? nährt sich die Ausstellung aus dem kontrastvo llen Aufeinandertreffen von Gegensätzen: das Sichtbare mit dem Verborgenen\, Fakten mit Fiktion\, die unbeugsame Starrheit mit dem sanft Liebkosenden\ , das Samtige mit dem Dornenhaften... The exhibition is taking place at the art space of the RKi\, [Ceci n'est pas une] Gallery\, and has been produced in collaboration with Galer ia Posibil? (Bucharest).Setting its focus on young positions of the contem porary Romanian art scene\, this exhibition chapter brings together an ext ensive body of recent work across various media. The opening will be accom panied by a live performance with electronic music\, based on a concept by out-of-the-box\, transdisciplinary musician Daniel Bucurescu.[Ceci n?est pas une] Gallery turns into a construction site for new ideas and fresh pe rspectives based on gestures of artistic kinship and cultural solidarity\, which now?more than ever before?should rely on brave\, empathic\, world-s haping stances. Today\, when big questions around the state of the world a nd that of humanity are lurking around every corner\, we aim to develop a program that is ethical\, equitable and sensitive to the most diverse of p ositions. We are a spatial envelope for all the fears and dreams\, the slo pes and odes developed in search for a hopeful reimagining of our shared f uture.The first act of our multi-chapter narrative is titled Hug Me Hard. As it delves into the depths of human psyche\, three emerging artists pres ent their transformative viewpoints on matters of identity and [be]longing \, uprooting and entanglement whilst outlining the shifting notion of bein g human in an increasingly complex\, unknowable reality.Hug Me Hard plays on the tension and ambivalence of the world that surrounds us today. Throu gh intersecting media and materialities?ranging from large format drawings and tactile sculptures to sound objects\, photography and video works?the exhibition feeds on the union of contrasts that link the seen to the unse en\, facts to fiction\, the unbending stiffness to the softly caressing\, the velvety to the thorny... Like a fiercely intense embrace\, after a sus tained absence.In many ways a response to the current state of the world\, Hug Me Hard is ultimately a call for action.
