  möglich oder gar notwendig. Eine Art Befreiung ist möglich\, selbst innerhalb v
 on vier Wänden\, in eine Realität\, in der Menschen Flügel aus dem Rücken sprießen. Ripsu
  begibt sich auf eine offene Parodie der luxuriösen Häuslichkeitspantomimen\, d
 ie so brüsk und fieberhaft von Reality-TV und sozialen Medien verbreitet werden

 ongisto-Salmi (geb. 1954) ist eine vielseitige Fotografin und Fotokünstlerin au
 s Helsinki\, die auch unter dem Namen Ripsu bekannt ist.Personas enthält Rip
 sus Selbstporträts\, aufgenommen in ihrem Zuhause in Töölö\, Helsinki. Kernthem
 en der Bilder sind das multiple Selbst\, reife Weiblichkeit\, Lebensfreude
 \, Farben\, Luxus und mutiges Selbstwertgefühl. Die Rollen wechseln in Ripsus F
 otografien schnell\, aber sie sind alle gleichermaßen wahr und real. Der St
 il ändert sich mit ihnen: Einige ähneln Modezeitschriften-Archivbildern\, ande
 re zeigen ungeschminkte Alltagsnormalität\, und viele beinhalten eine befrei
 ende Selbstironie und einen Sinn für Parodie. In Personen setzt sich Ripsu mit 
 Identität und dem Selbst auseinander\, sie fragt z.B.\, ob ein einzelnes Sel
 bst nur eine Illusion ist. Was\, wenn das Selbst tatsächlich eine sich ständig
  verändernde\, entwickelnde\, vergängliche Selbstdarstellung ist\, die aus mom
 entanen Empfindungen\, Wahrnehmungen und Erinnerungen geformt wird? Kann e
 in Mensch gleichzeitig Subjekt und Objekt sein ? der Beobachter und der Be
 obachtete? Oder erfordert dies zumindest zwei Selbste? Und wird das ?wahre
 ? Selbst jemals enthüllt werden?Ripsu hat einen Master-Abschluss in Kunstgeschi
 chte von der Universität Helsinki und hat in Finnland und Schweden Fotografi
 e studiert. Sie hat an zahlreichen Workshops und Mentoring-Programmen von 
 einigen globalen Größen der Fotografie im In- und Ausland teilgenommen.Ripsu 
 hat eine Monografie mit dem Titel Personas veröffentlicht.Die Ausstellung in

 on a frank parody of the luxury home lifeperformances put out so brusquely

 rgerDirector of the Finnish Museum of PhotographyRipsu Hongisto-Salmi (b. 
 1954) is a highly versatile photographer and photographic artistfrom Helsi
 nki\, who also goes by Ripsu.Personas contains Ripsu's self-portraits\, ta
 ken in her home in Töölö\, Helsinki. Corethemes in the images are the plural 
 self\, mature womanhood\, joie de vivre\, colors\, luxury\,and courageous 
 self-esteem. Roles switch up quickly in Ripsu's photographs\, but they are
 all equally true and real. The style changes with them: some are like fash
 ion magazinestock photos\, others show unadorned everyday normalcy\, and m
 any include a liberatingself-irony and sense of parody. In Personas Ripsu 
 deals with identity and the self\, sheasks e.g if a single self is just an
  illusion. What if the self actually is a constantly changing\,evolving\, 
 transient self-representation formed of momentary sensations\, perceptions
 \,recollections? Can a human being be simultaneously the subject and the o
 bject ? theobserver and the observee? Or does this require\, at least\, tw
 o selves? And will the ?true?self ever be revealed?Ripsu has a Master's de
 gree in art history from the University of Helsinki and she hasstudied pho
 tography in Finland and Sweden and she has participated in numerousworksho
 ps and mentorship programs by some global photography greats\, in Finland 
 aswell as abroad.Ripsu has published a monograph work entitled Personas.Th
