Die Botschaft von Kanada, die Studierenden des John-F.-Kennedy-Instituts und des Jazz Instituts der Universität der Künste, freuen sich, euch zu einem besonderen Konzert im Henry-Ford-Bau im Rahmen des Black History Month einzuladen.

Wir präsentieren das Stück „Marron Inconnu“ von David Bontemps. Der in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti geborene Komponist und Pianist lebt seit über 20 Jahren in Montreal und inspiriert die Musikszene über kanadische Grenzen hinaus mit seinem kontrastreichen Stil. Ebenfalls werden Stücke aus der „Canadiana Suite“ von achtfachem Grammy-Gewinner Oscar Peterson aufgeführt.Lasst uns gemeinsam zu zeitgenössischer Klassik und Jazzmusik feiern und die Einflüsse beider talentierten Künstler auf die kanadische und internationale Kunstszene würdigen!
Wir wir freuen uns Sie im Anschluss an das Konzert zu einem kleinen Empfang einzuladen.

Has the Nutcracker Suite left you with an earworm for weeks? Are you keen to broaden your musical horizons beyond the Christmas Oratorio? The Embassy of Canada to Germany, the students of the John F. Kennedy Institute and the Jazz Institute of the University of the Arts, are pleased to invite you to a special concert in the Henry Ford Building of the Freie Universitaet as part of Black History Month.
We present the piece "Marron Inconnu" by David Bontemps. Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, the composer and pianist has lived in Montreal for over 20 years and inspires the music scene well beyond Canada's borders with his contrasting style. Pieces from the "Canadiana Suite" by eight-time Grammy winner Oscar Peterson will also be performed.Let's celebrate together with contemporary classical and jazz music and honour the influences of both talented artists on the Canadian and international arts scene!
We are also pleased to invite you to a small reception that will follow the concert.

La suite de Casse-Noisette vous a-t-elle laissé un ver d'oreille pendant des semaines ? Vous souhaitez élargir vos horizons musicaux au-delà de l'Oratorio de Noël ? L'ambassade du Canada, les étudiants de l'Institut John F. Kennedy et de l'Institut de jazz de l'Université des arts, sommes heureux de vous inviter à un concert spécial dans le bâtiment Henry Ford dans le cadre du Mois de l’histoire des Noirs.
Nous présentons la pièce "Marron Inconnu" de David Bontemps. Ce compositeur et pianiste né à Port-Au-Prince, en Haïti, vit depuis plus de 20 ans à Montréal et inspire la scène musicale au-delà des frontières canadiennes avec son style contrasté. Des morceaux de la "Canadiana Suite" d'Oscar Peterson, lauréat de huit Grammy Awards, seront également interprétés. Célébrons ensemble la musique classique et le jazz contemporain et rendons hommage à l'influence de ces deux artistes talentueux sur la scène artistique canadienne et internationale!
