Venus-Alchemie is an evening of film, dance, and polaroid photography, exploring the nature of duality, darkness, alchemy, and Wicca rituals.With choreography and movement direction by Britt Angus, and film and photography by Imogen Mansfield, the two artists collaborate to create a piece culminating in this fierce visual odyssey.

Brittany is a Canadian contemporary dance artist and choreographer based in Berlin, Germany. She holds her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Simon Fraser University's School for the Contemporary Arts. While living in Vancouver, Brittany trained and performed with companies including Dezza Dance Co, the response., and Coastal City Ballet. She has danced in choreographic works by Judith Garay (Martha Graham Company), Rob Kitsos, Heather Myers (NDT), David Raymond (Kidd Pivot), Lesley Telford (NDT) and Tiffany Tregarthen (Kidd Pivot). In Summer 2017 Brittany received a scholarship from Simon Fraser University allowing her to complete her BFA through Air Berlin Alexanderplatz, a research-focused, artist-run initiative. Since graduating, Brittany has continued her training in Europe, studying repertoire by Emanuel Gat, Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Hofesh Shechter, Crystal Pite, Sasha Waltz. and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui during the Eastman Summer Dance Intensive (2017).

In 2018 Brittany participated in Luna Park's International Exchange Program for young dancers and choreographers, while in Athens she created and performed 'Tangerine' and appeared in 'Βουνά οι επιθυμίες' (Mountains of Desire) by Kosmas Kosmopoulos. Since relocating to Berlin, her choreography has been shared in Greece, The Netherlands and in Germany at Theaterhaus Berlin Mitte and Eschschloraque Rümschrümp (Bande à Part – Tanzbare Veranstaltung für Außenseiter). In Berlin Brittany has performed and interpreted choreography by Blenard Azizaj, Gosia Gajdemska, Satoshi Kudo, Sita Ostheimer and Helder Seabra. In 2019 Brittany travelled to Austria and Italy to work with Tanz Company Gervasi and recently performed 'Union', a new work created by Elio Gervasi during a residency in Barbarano Romano, Italy. Brittany is inspired by the natural world and the arts. Currently her interest is in developing interdisciplinary works and collaborations with other artists.
