Is the sound coming from my dress? An old music box plays a little, tiny melody. Yellow dogs send imperceivable messages. Bells, balls, brushes, boxes, a party in an enchanted garret.
Newly formed Vancouver/Berlin trio Brush Skin Soft are Ben Brown, drums and toys, Marialuisa Capurso, voices and toys, and Agente Costura, sewing machine and toys.
For this event brush skin soft will be a live collaboration between sewing machine, voice, electronics, saxes , percussions.Performative and sonically radical, Agente Costura weaves sounds and fabric whilst Marialuisa Capurso sings, intones and hums phrases, non-phrases and melodies infused through an array of loop, buzz, FX and other electronics. This time their performance also includes the saxophone player Miriam Siebenstaedt.
