Wir laden Sie ein zu einer Ausstellung, welche vom julianischen Frauentag bis zum Fall der Mauer andauern wird und andauernd Veranstaltungen zum Thema anbietet.
WIR ERÖFFNEN AM DONNERSTAG 23. Februar, auf den Flyern stand fälschlich 24. Also wir laden ALLE am 23. ein.
Paul Frick wird uns Musik bereiten. Das Paar Pascal von Wroblewsky und Holger Teschke interagieren revolutionär anhand diverser lyrischer Ausuferungen und wir versprechen, dass wir eine Menge Spaß haben werden.

Eine programmatische Ausstellung zu und mit linker Praxis.

Künstler müssen immer überaus sorgsam beobachtet werden.

Die Fragen Was ist links? Was ist an Gewalt notwendig für den Sieg? und Wofür kämpfen wir? werden in diesem Jahr im Sprechsaal gestellt werden. Die Sozialdemokratische Revolution im Februar und die Leninsche im Oktober jähren sich 2017 zum 100sten Mal. Dieser Revolution möchten wir eine Ausstellung und vor allem über das Jahr hinweg viele Veranstaltungen widmen und somit kontinuierlich Standortbestimmungen vornehmen. Wir wollen theoretisch planen und praktisch üben, wie wir wieder zu politischem Handeln kommen und die überkomplexen Verhältnisse beschreiben und verändern können. Sind wir eigentlich so selbstverständlich links, wie wir es immer behaupten? Sprechsaal-typisch wird es eine Hörspiel-Reihe zum Thema geben, sowie Filme, Vorträge und Diskussionen. Sie sind herzlich eingeladen sich einzumischen! Links sein heißt, an Veränderungen zu glauben und diese herbei zu führen.

We warmly invite you to our upcoming exhibition which opens on the woman’s day under the Julian calendar and lasts until the annual date of the fall of the Berlin wall in November. During this time we offer constant and diverse events meeting the topical theme.
WARNING: Vernissage is Thursday, 23rd of February. Unfortunately our flyers falsely declare Friday as the opening date, which we ask you to ignore.
Paul Frick will ensure musical entertainment, along with divers lyrical performances. One thing we can solemnly promise; it’s going to be a lot of fun.
1917 - One Hundred Years of Revolution
A programmatic exhibition self-reflectively dealing with left wing political practice.

Artists muss constantly be monitored with precision. - Josef Stalin
What is liberalism? Is force obligatory for success and if yes, what kind? What are we even fighting for? these are questions we at Sprechsaal will be asking ourselves in the following year. 2017 is the 100 year aniversary of the social democratic revolution in february 1917 and the october revolution led by Lenin. In dedication to these revolutions Sprechsaal will be hosting a number of events in the course of the exhibition which allow us to reflect on our own political views. We want to plan in theory and act practically never loosing focus on the central issue of political activism and how to enforce such. Are we really as liberal as we always claim to be? Do our actions match our principles?
We will be hosting audio plays in the characteristic Sprechsaal manor, as well as films, lectures and discussions.
We warmly invite you to join us at Sprechsaal and actively take part. Defining oneself as left wing means believing in change and not shying away from being part of it.
