+++ 25.4. FESTIVAL OF ANIMATED FILM
DE // Das erste Festival of Animated Film Berlin findet im Rahmen der CIB statt und widmet sich kurzen Animationsfilmen Berliner Filmemacher_Innen. In zwei Screenings à 60 Minuten werden interessante und eigenwillige Filme der Berliner Comic- und Animationsszene präsentiert. Danach gibt es die Möglichkeit den Künstler_Innen Fragen zu tellen. Den Abschluss des Abends bildet einemusikalische Performance mit live Animation.
EN // The first ever Festival of Animated Film Berlin is part of the CIB programme and is all about short animated movie film makers from Berlin. In two 60 minuten screening sessions you get to see unconventional movies by the local comic and animation scene. Afterwards there will be a Q & A session with the filmmakers. The evening will be end with a musical performance featuring live animation!

The series creates a colourful, stylised world made up by very small illustrations, each a portrait of an animal or mythical being. DE // Dan Allons Vater stammt aus einer spanischen Familie und wuchs in Marokko auf. In „Visiting the Ghosts of Mrs. Swissa” vermischt Allon Bilder aus dem väterlichen Fotoalbum mit
Bildern der damaligen Diktaturen beider Länder. Inspiriert durch dieses Material aus Schwarzweiss-Fotografien verdichten sich die
Bilder zu einem Szenario und enthüllen einen intimen Blick auf das Familienleben unter einem diktatorischen Regime.
EN // Dan Allons' father is from Spanish decent and grew up in Morocco. In "visiting the ghost of mrs. Swissa" Allon mixes photographs of his dad's collection with images of the dictatorship of the time from both countries. Inspired by these black and white photographies the images condense into a single scenario and uncover an intimate view onto the family life under dictatorial regimes.

They worry about the health of people who consume frozen pizza in their local not-so-super-market and thus decide to show the world how to bake a nice hand made pizza.
