For more than 15 years, Bärbel Rothhaar´s work in progress, the TALKING HEADS, has toured in Germany, Canada, Switzerland and Spain. Presently, it includes over 100 sculpted heads and a collection of biographical stories. The project will now be presented in a new format at Watch House, highlighted with live music by Hendrik Kühling.

Bärbel Rothhaar is a painter, sculptor and conceptual artist, living in Berlin. Her passion for music, dance and literature has led to many collaborations with artists from other fields. www.baerbel-rothhaar.de / portraitsrothhaar.wordpress.com)

Hendrik Kühling, originally from the Baltic Sea island Poel, is a Berlin based musician and A/V producer. As a guitarist he has been playing in various band projects, which mainly are influenced by blues, roots, folk and rock music. With his current acoustic trio Strainful Train he combines his musical background with fresh contemporary ideas.

Masha Gurina (http://mashagurina.com/) is a Ukraine-born dance artist and choreographer who now lives in Berlin. She teaches, performs and directs, and her portfolio includes dance theatre works, dance films and art installations. Her work entered international festivals and won awards.

Zafer Yigitoglu is a designer, tango dancer and previously a boxer with a passion for dance and movement. He is also the man behind a transformation of Watch House into the studio space the way it looks today.

Note from the organisers

We would like to extend our warm welcome to the first of our art events in Watch House.

It is our honour to be hosting "Talking Heads'. With this event, we are launching Watch House as a new creative space in Schoeneberg where we will continue hosting a number of activities for the local community and beyond, bringing together what we love most - dance, visual art and music. This includes regular tango classes (which now run every Saturday), art exhibitions and performances, and we are constantly working on new ideas! Please join us and share our love for art and creativity.
