im Rahmen der Ausstellung "Menschenzeit", vom 13.09. bis 04.11.16 // Objekt, Photo, Malerei, Grafik, Video, Sound-Performance.
Unsere Art zu leben, schafft eine neue Erdepoche, das Menschenzeitalter, Anthropozän. Der moderne Mensch ist von der Tiefsee bis an den Rand der Atmosphäre präsent und wirkt auf den Lauf der Evolution ein. Sein Tun wird auch in ferner Zukunft sichtbar sein. Menschliche Aktivität hat seit dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges eine völlig neue Qualität. Dank des rasanten Wachstums prägt die Menschheit nun die geologische Überlieferung unserer Zeit global, statt nur ein Faktor unter vielen zu sein.
Neue geologische Strukturen bilden weltweit unsere Städte aus Glas und Beton. Agrarlandschaften entstehen für unser Essen. Zum Klimawandel tragen Autofahrten, Flüge, Gütertransporte bei. Plastik, andere synthetische Stoffe bis hin zu strahlenden Elementen sind in der Biosphäre allgegenwärtig und viele von ihnen über geologische Zeiträume langlebig. Staudämme, die Sedimente in den Oberläufen von Flüssen zurückhalten, haben langfristige Folgen. Schiffe und Flugzeuge transportieren Tausende gebietsfremde Arten von einem Kontinent zum anderen.
Die Künstler/innen zeigen das Thema mit Objekt, Photo, Malerei, Grafik, Video und Sound-Performance:

in the context of the exhibition "Menschenzeit", from 13th of September to the 11th of November 2016 // Objects, Photography, Painting, Graphics, Video amd Sound-Performance
The way we live our life is creating a new age, the so called “Anthropocene”. Modern man is present from the deep sea to the edge of the atmosphere and affects the course of evolution. His action will be visible in the distant future. Human activity has a completely new quality since the end of World War II. Thanks to the rapid growth of humanity, mankind has a geological imprint globaly, rather than just being one factor among many.
New worldwide geological structures are our cities made of glass and concrete. Agricultural landscapes arise for supplying us with food. To the climate change contribute road trips, flights, freight transport. Plastic, other synthetic materials to radiating elements are ubiquitous in the biosphere and many of them durable over long geological periods. Dams that retain sediments in the upper reaches of rivers have long-term consequences. Ships and planes carry thousands of alien species from one continent to another.
