Auf seinem aktuellen Album "These Are The Parts" schließt der Singer-Songwriter einen Kreis. Vor den Toren Berlins aufgewachsen, lebt der 32-Jährige jetzt im Herzen der Stadt, nachdem er seine Zwanziger auf der Suche nach seiner Stimme und seinen Songs in den Straßen Europas verbracht hat. Mit einem Hintergrund in der Konzeptkunst beschäftigt er sich in seiner Musik mit den Themen Identität, Eskapismus, Aufgabe und Heilung. Als Live-Act schickt er seine Gitarre immer wieder durch eine Reihe von Effekten, erschafft auf diese Weise einen Hybriden aus E- und Akustikgitarre, streut Loops ein, und bringt so eine große dynamische Bandbreite auf die Bühne.

Für all jene, die die Musik von Damien Rice, Glen Hansard, Leonard Cohen, Julien Baker oder Gregory Alan Isakov lieben, und für viele andere Menschen.

On "These Are The Parts", the latest album by The Night Gardener, the singer-songwriter goes full circle. The 32-year-old, raised just outside Berlin and living in the heart of the city now, spent his twenties busking and traveling across Europe, finding his voice and songs. With a background in concept art, he uses his music to explore themes of identity, escapism, defeat and healing. As a solo act, he brings a wide dynamic range to the stage, with the help of multiple effects, hybrid signals and the occasional loop.

For all those who love the music of Damien Rice, Glen Hansard, Leonard Cohen, Julien Baker or Gregory Alan Isakov, and for many other people.

THURSDAY SOUNDS: - Singer/Songwriter Konzerte im Tik, ab 21.00 Uhr

Jeden Donnerstag ein Konzert mit einem Singer/Songwriter oder einer kleinen Band.
Wer aufmerksam durch Berlin stolpert hat es mitbekommen, die Stadt ist ein Magnet für junge, verrückte, talentierte und interessante Musiker. Mit etwas Glück sieht man auf der Warschauer Brücke oder in einem Kneipenhinterzimmer an einem Abend mehr Talent als das ganze Jahr im Fernsehen.
Wir wollen diesen Musikern eine Bühne geben.

Every Thursday we have a concert with a Singer/Songwriter or a small band.
It's Berlin nowadays: The City has become a magnet to musicians from all over the world or from just around the corner. Creatvity and talent is on the street playing for small change, on the stages of open mics or maybe in the bar in your street.
The Tik has a stage for these musicians, every thursday.
