Are you a literary type with a zeal for short stories and a serious case of cabin fever thanks to the winter doldrums? An English-speaking writer looking for a platform to share your work? Christopher Isherwood's ghost? If you fit into any of the above categories, come to Poor and Literate Short Stories! WHAT IS IT? Between six and eight authors will read short stories of no more than 1000 words (that's ten minutes of reading per story). Musical guests may also put in an appearance. WHERE IS IT? Poor and Literate, a most delightful bookshop and event space, steps from the Schönhauser Allee S-bahn stop in Prenzlauer Berg. HOW CAN I SUBMIT? If you'd like to read, please send your fiction story (no more than 1200 words!) to me at emilycataneo@gmail.com. We will select our favorite stories (probably between six and eight pieces) for presentation at the event.
