Roland Satterwhite & Zhenya Topov in Concert

Combining Viola, Violin, Handpans, Tongue Drum and Bendir (Frame Drum) Roland Satterwhite & Zhenya Topov will share their love for improvisation and create timeless musical passages through various genres, taking the listener on spiraling rhythmic and melodic journeys.

Roland Satterwhite has toured internationally and played with musicians as diverse as Albita (Cuba) Marta Gomez (Spain) Agujetas Chico (Spain) Django Lassi (Germany). He was a featured solo artist at TEDx Hamburg, and has recently founded a new trio, Tolyqyn, which plays his original bluesy trance music with poly-rhythmic and hypnotizing odd meter grooves.

Zhenya Topov is a handpan percussionist, composer for dance and theatre and physical theatre practitioner and pedagogue. A graduate of American Academy of Dramatic Arts (NY); Sonic Arts Program of Victoria University (Wellington, NZ) and Helikos- International School for Theatre Creation (Florence, Italy).
Zhenya aims to combine his passions of music and theatre in his compositions, creating dramatic structures and improvising within them. He evokes spiralling cycles with subtle variations on the theme, creating evocative spaces for the listener to journey through.
