Description:
Where were you on 9/11? Sitting in school? Sitting on the toilet? Sofia May, on the other hand, was running—for her life— from the dust cloud and debris as the World Trade Center toppled next to her school in downtown Manhattan, and now, as an adult, she's processed a lot of that trauma, continues to grieve, and is ready to get silly.
In this stand-up comedy solo hour, Sofia May takes the audience on a comedic journey of her experience as a tween survivor of the history's biggest terrorist attack. Through the grief and trauma is ever-shining exquisite irony. And if 9/11 isn’t your favorite terrorist attack, don’t worry, Sofia will joke about plenty of other twisted topics with an air of childlike innocence that will satisfy all your other naughtiest needs.

Sofia was born and raised in New York City on Ren and Stimpy and bad boundaries. Her comedy style is dark and whimsical.

She has performed all over Europe, in London, NYC, SF, and the Edinburgh Fringe the last 2 years.
She performs on a nightly basis in Berlin and produces the show Stand-up at The Shine.
