Vilém Flusser, born in Prag in 1920, was one of the most original and insightful thinkers of late modern aesthetics and culture. Though he died in 1991, Flusser's reputation is even greater today, especially among artists, designers and media-thinkers for his provocative and colourful argumentation which opens up ways of understanding contemporary digital communications and networks. Baruch Gottlieb, fellow of the Vilém Flusser Archive and curator of the travelling exhibition “Flusser & the Arts” will present an introduction to Flusser's thought accompanied by archival video of Flusser's interviews and lectures.
