Arnaldo Prete created his own band in Berlin in 2012, supported by European, African and South American musicians. His project is an ode to cultural diversity that he expresses through his compositions. He studied Jazz and Afro-Latin music, moved out from its natal south of Italy to Mexico and then Brazil, and started mixing up Italian folk with Jazz, Bossa Nova and Afro-Latin rhythms. He studied the roots of African music in Mali. in 2010 moved to Berlin where he performed Afro-Brazilian and Latin Jazz with his group Vatapá de fruta-pão. All of those influencies gave birth to the album DANZÉ: smooth Brazilian atmosphere, intense Afro-Latin sabor, Congolese power of groove, Jazz improvisation and a final Italian touch, this is Arnaldo Prete's brand new world-beat fusion.
