„Wohlfühlen mit Reisen – und ohne?“ von Joachim Klöckner
und laden herzlich dazu ein, am Fr. 26.02.16, 19 Uhr, Eintritt frei,
keine Anmeldung.
Im Rahmen der "Ausstellung "Reisen"
Alles, was Joachim Klöckner besitzt, passt in einen Rucksack. Mit wenig zu leben ist für ihn kein Verzicht, sondern eine befreiende Lebensform.
Joachim Klöckner ist ein Trendsetter, doch das interessiert ihn nicht. Schon seit fast zwei Jahrzehnten lebt er so, wie es heute eine kleine, aber stetig wachsende Gruppe von Menschen tut. Sie nennen sich Minimalisten und wollen Zeichen setzen gegen Überfluss und Konsumzwang in unserer Gesellschaft. Deshalb versuchen sie, mit möglichst wenig Besitz auszukommen.

In the context of the exhibition "TRAVELLING".
All, that Joachim Klöckner has, fits in a backpack. To live with so few things is for him no renouncement at all, but a freeing way of life.
Joachim Klöckner is setting trends, even if he does not care about it. Since almost a decade he lives this way, that a very little but steady growing group of people live. They call themselves "minimalists" and they want to manifest against opulence and consumerism in our society. That is why they try to live with so less possesssions as possible.

Freiheit, Abstand vom Alltag gewinnen, Neues entdecken, fremden Kulturen begegnen, Geheimnisse entdecken.Wir haben die Wahl, sind mobil über die ganze Welt, fliegen „Kurz“ und „Fern“, überqueren die Meere, spüren letzte unberührte Fleckchen Erde auf und finden traumhafte Zweitwohnungen an idyllischen Plätzen. Der Preis – wir verbrauchen viele Ressourcen, erzeugen CO2, Müll, Fluglärm, transportieren unsere Kultur der Verschwendung, des Überflusses in arme Länder, fixen sie an, beuten Mensch und Natur aus, degradieren sie mit schaulustigem Ökotourismus und mit Spiritualität als Konsumprodukt.
Sind das Alternativen, Fernreisen meiden, nachhaltiger, sanfter reisen, wandern, den Sommer im eigenen Lande genießen, Radreisen, Ökotourismus? Was sagen Künstler dazu?

Freedom, distance from everyday life, new discoveries, other cultures to meet, secrets to know. We have the choice to move around the world, to take short and long flights, to cross the see, touch the last unknown fringes of Earth and find our second residence in idyllic places. The price: wasting resources, CO2 emissions, waste, unnatural noises, export of our Abundance/Wastefulness culture in poorer countries, attaching them to it, degrading Humans and Nature with voyeuristic ecotourism and selling spirituality as consumer product.
Do we have alternatives? Avoiding long trips, trying more sustainable and soft traveling, like local, hiking, cycling, enjoying the summer in our own countries, eco-tourism?

Die Postkarten können von den Besuchern in der Galerie eingesehen worden. / The virtual postcards of the interactive Rekall installation - the selfie made by the visitors in their holiday country - by Maria Korporal are printed after every Friday. The postcards are shown in the gallery and can be seen by the visitors.
