"Alan Bonner has the means of a pauper but sings with the heart of a king" is what one critic wrote in review of the English musician's 2012 self released Balladeer album.
Since then his starving artist status hasn't changed, but his postcode has. Recent years have seen him playing the bars of Berlin, tread the boards at London's Ronnie Scott's, top bills at music festivals in Italy, busk on street corners in Dublin and tour the United States supporting American rock band Darling Waste.
2016 see's the release of his third album Night Music. Recorded in South London with producer Aneek Thapar; Night Music is a collection of songs inspired by London and its nocturnal inhabitance. Songs inspired by drinkers, thieves, prostitutes, spurned lovers, fallen rock stars and chance meetings with strangers on night buses. Songs inspired by the disaffected creatures that take to the streets and the bars of the city when the sun goes down.Prior to the release of Night Music, Alan Bonner has toured extensively across the UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia and the USA. He has received airplay on BBC6 Music and MTV Italy, and appeared in Grazia, Gay Times, Attitude, Time Out London and RTE Ireland. He has also previously released two other albums; 2008's Songs for the Heartshaped and 2012's Balladeer to favourable reviews. www.alanbonnermusic.com www.soundcloud.com/ALANBONNERMUSIC www.facebook.com/ALANBONNERMUSIC
