Exploring Polar Ice Cathedrals
This month’s edition will welcome extreme adventurer and expedition guide Ashly Fusiarski, who has lived in and endured all of the planet’s elements. During our Travel Night he talks about obstacles most mountaineers avoid at all costs, but which he purposely seeks - crevasses. As they are often hidden by snow cover, they are a nightmare for mountaineers. Ashly uses a special set of techniques and equipment to descend down into these wonderful though extremely dangerous and ephemeral chasms, sometimes as big as apartment buildings, to study and enjoy their magnificence.

Life Is a Journey: Happy in ... Iceland
We will also be joined by both founders of Nectar & Pulse, the editors behind the new “Glücklich in...” travel guides from Süddeutsche Zeitung Edition. For more than ten years Christian and Tanja have been finding and sharing special places with soul and beauty all over the world. During the event they will introduce their new travel guides and tell their favourite stories and places of their Icelandic journeys.
